Andy is the principal of Linwood Chartered Surveyors.

He graduated from Reading University in 1974 having gained an honours degree in Estate Management. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Formally an equity partner of Edwin Hill (latterly the Atlus Group), in 2009 Andy set up his own consultancy under the banner of Linwood Chartered Surveyors. 

Over the years Andy has been responsible for providing rental and capital value advice in respect of commercial property and development land throughout the UK. He has acted for many major national and international companies, financial institutions, property companies, industrialists, trusts and private individuals. He has appeared as Expert Witness in Court and Tribunal proceedings and since 1988 he has received regular appointments from the President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors to act as Arbitrator or Independent Expert to determine commercial property disputes, principally in the field of rent review.

He regularly tutors APC graduates seeking their Chartered Surveyor status.

In 2011 Andy was accredited as a member of the RICS Valuer Registration Scheme.
